Bar George
The main challenge of this project was to design a space for commercial activities in a heritage building. A detailed spatial study was necessary, knowing that each architectural intervention to be made to the building would require justifications and approvals. The layout was therefore designed to minimize interventions on the existing architecture. This is why the new elements were rather treated as islands in the center of the rooms. The magnificent elliptical bar dressed in marble, overhung with a custom chandelier, lies in the middle of a room that was once the “Grand Salon”. The dining rooms were also designed in such a way that the tables encircled the benches, the central element of the room. The seated guests are therefore in the best position to admire the spectacular scenery that surrounds them.
