Institut Supérieur d’Informatique
ISI (l’Institut Supérieur d’Informatique) is an internationally renowned academic institution specialised in information technology. Their new space is composed of 24 classrooms over 4 floors and can welcome up to 765 students per year. In it’s downtown location, the ISI premises benefit from a breathtaking view of the iconic Jacques-Cartier Bridge and St. Helen’s Island, anchoring the spaces to the urban fabric of Montreal.
Our objective was to offer occupants a bright, friendly and flexible study environment to accommodate multiple types of functions, as well as different learning styles, and foster collaboration.
Given the nature of the project and the role of space, it was important for our team to design an efficient and sustainable environment where the simplicity and quality of architectural details make it a unique and inviting contemporary space. Particular attention was paid to the design of the lighting, which reinforces and highlights the creative details throughout.
The Métaphore design team was able to create an inspiring environment that simultaneously integrated the needs of the client while working within a defined budget and a tight deadline.
